I always found the Miata good looking because of its classic lines. I recall I was attending a Ford Cocktails near the Mall of Asia a few years ago and the Miata Club was there with their cars. I walked around their cars and really found them beautiful.
I recognized Romy Mercado and Melo Naguiat and that they told me how happy they are with their cars. Both are my contemporaries from High School. I also work with Giles Puno a lot and he also raves about his supercharged car. Even Ronnie Romero, a long time family friend, has a Miata and also treats it as a prized possession. I started looking for a Miata last year but it took a while to find one. My existing friends from the club were so helpful in finding a car. I also thank Allan Lavarro, Chito Frondoso, Jojo Ozaeta and Joey Bernardez for their assistance and tips as it just proved that the support and camaraderie of the club even enhances the ownership. I previously also had a Karmann Ghia. However, I find the Miata so much more refreshing as it is not temperamental and is so easy to maintain. What even impresses me is that several members even have 2 of these cars in their garage. Thanks to everyone in the Club for making me proud to be a member and a Miata owner. Ed Francisco |
