MCP TANAY RUN
Sierra Madre Run May 15, 2005

The Sierra Madre Run went well today. 7 Miata's participated: Martin Pison and his father Ted in their BRG, Tristan Calixto and his wife Ellen in their red car, Ven Rojas and his wife Joy in their pale yellow car, and Ruel, Jeric, Allan and myself.
Everyone arrived at the assembly point promptly before the designated departure time, even Allan arrived very early this time around. Despite receiving a wake up call at 3:45am Jeric still managed to arrive at 5am (nagpa-gas pa!), on the other hand, now I know that Allan requires a wake up call to arrive promptly for early fun runs.

A glorious drive it was. The temperature on the way up was perfect but a
tad warm on the way down. While we were up at the peak Jeric was
complaining of pressurized air seeping sounds coming from his supercharger
and worked on his silicone hose clamps for about ten minutes until Allan
pointed out that he was missing the bolts on his super's outlet
manifold. Luckily the bolts were found in the engine bay. To make matters
worse, Martin discovered that Jeric's right rear tire was running very
low. Good thing that Ven had a portable air compressor with him which
fixed that problem immediately. We spent a good deal of time up there and
had a few laughs at Jeric's expense ;D

We planned on finding some spots to stop where the roads are at their twistiest to get some shots of the cars on that portion, but those roads are just too much fun to drive through and it's just too difficult to slow down and waste that portion, and hence we didn't get the shots.

It was a great run and a FUN run! Thanks for joining guys! And please post some of the group pictures we took.
