MCP 10th Year Anniversary Party

May 18, 2007

To the Guys who organized our 10th Year Anniversary Party, THANK YOU SO MUCH. We appreciate the effort that you, Guys, put into making our Party smooth-flowing, pleasant, relaxing and entertaining. My wife Dina enjoyed every minute of it. She thought it was gonna be one of those boring parties that you attend without really knowing anybody. But she admitted she was wrong. The people were so warm and she quickly bonded with the other wives. She was so entertained with Jeric’s humor that she was laughing out loud. She was so impressed also with the production, the backdrop and the smooth transition in the program, the newspaper dance, etc. There was never a dull moment. And the attention to the little details showed how well organized our Club is: the name tags with our logo and the printed tickets with our name and logo. These may be small details but they certainly add to the flair of class and professionalism of our Club.

I take my hat off you, Guys: Chito F., Joey B., Ven, Carlo (too bad you missed the fun), Norman, Ting, the Camus Family, Jeric and the current officers. And to those I missed out, thank you, too.

Rey R.

Rolly Lim who contributed many ideas on creating a festive atmosphere for the evening and it was also he who volunteered Sherryl Cabuhat our lady co-host from his office who structured the evening’s program and thought out several party games to choose from;

Norman Castillo who sourced our lovely usherettes, created videos for the evening, provided the staff and equipment and managed the technical aspects of the event that night;

Ting Pascual, who sweated out the details of organizing the party with Chito F, sourced out sponsors for the prizes, provided polishing ideas for the event like the printed name-tags and dinner stubs with the club logo and sourced frames for our awards;

Ed Francisco who drafted and delivered the evening’s invocation and contributed many ideas at the organizational meetings;

JR Tanpinco whose help was invaluable for the awards;

Carlo Ablaza who created the slideshow presentation that compressed 10 years worth of pictures into a ten minute slideshow without losing any details and still giving all of it a new perspective;

Jeric Mariano, with whom I spent all of 2 minutes on the phone to recruit his hosting services for the party over a month ago under the pretense that it would be Maui Taylor that would be co-hosting with him (...seriously we did consider getting her to co-host, but in the end decided on getting more girls instead of just one) and despite receiving a briefing on the program of only a few minutes before the party by Sherryl, still gave a stellar performance as the evening’s master of ceremonies;

Collins Yap for the banners and making sure the food would be there;

Ven Rojas for the pictures in the backdrop and the creation and distribution of the commemorative “10” photograph as well as our get-well poster for Zaffy;

Louie and Bubi Camus who gave us a free hand in organizing the party and gave us all the support we needed in organizing the party;

Chito Frondoso who’s been sweating out the details of this party for the past 5 months, from the venue, which we struggled so hard with checking out many different restaurants and venues only to realize that the best venue would be the same room where we have breakfast in every month, to the creation of the new logo, the making of the badges, the commemorative shirts, the awards, the engagement of a co-host and usherettes, and carefully thinking out all these countless details and many others that went into the planning of this event for the club;

To all the members and their wives who gave their commitment to attend the party ahead of time and allowing us to have an accurate headcount ...

To all of you, thank you.

Joey B.
